A little bit of weekend fun...I was laid up this weekend with a pinched nerve, so no camping and kneeboarding at the lake. It's a rough life, I know. So, instead, we spent the weekend at home.
Project one: Epoxy the garage floor in the shop
Well, I was more of a "supervisor," if you will, since I'm a bit laid up. When I got up to the shop, Jeremy didn't notice his new friend:
Project two: Roasted Garlic Cauliflower
For dinner, since I obviously took the lame (but delicious!) way out and cooked a frozen lasagna, I thought I would "fancy it up" with the vegetable option. Roasted garlic cauliflower, with parmesan cheese. The review at dinner? "This tastes like dirt." To be fair, I found out at dinner that Jeremy hates cauliflower and thinks it always tastes like dirt. I'll have lots of leftovers for myself!
Project three: Square Pie
One of Jeremy's favorite desserts is Chocolate Pie, so I thought it was time I gave it a shot! Not such a great idea for the following reasons: a) his mom made it growing up, which means my version will always be inferior, b) I didn't have any pie crust, c) I apparently don't own a pie pan. So, I took my trusty 8x8 brownie pan and a graham cracker crust and made the pie! It's chocolate, with meringue, so how could it really go wrong? Actually, that is really sad, but it was still delicious! I was supposed to brown the meringue, but I am not really patient enough for things like that.
Can't wait for our next projects!!
